TouchDesigner at Gobelins 2023

Interactive Art with Touch Designer - September 2023

For two days, I’ve got the opportunity to go back to Gobelins Paris as an educator to teach TouchDesigner to the talented new generation of Interactive Innovation at Gobelins Paris. This was of course quite a special experience for me as I graduated from the same program only three months before.

I have collaborated with Morgane Rocheteau to create an introduction to the software. Most of the students having never used TouchDesigner (or any other node based technology), it was important for us to revisit the basics by first introducing the user interface and then a range of operators (mostly TOPs, CHOPs, and SOPs).

Depending on the students interests, we have also introduced them to the use of hardware in TouchDesigner (Kinect, MIDI controller, Microphone, Camera, etc…).
